Seedling Plugs

We grow plugs of grasses, sedges, and some wildflowers suitable for naturalizing or restoration projects. 

Trays contain 32 or 50 plugs depending on species.

• Plugs are $1.25 each or $40/tray(32) or $62.50/tray(50).  (Discounts available for orders >500)
• Pots (10cm) of divisions are $2.50 each when available
  

Plugs can be ordered fall/winter for May/June planting. 

Spring orders may be possible for summer planting.  Please contact us for more information.

Seed Mixes

Seed mixes are another way to grow native plants in a naturalized or informal garden.

Preparation of the site is crucial for success and the seedling plants must be weeded the first year or two at least.  It is a labour intensive project at the beginning but becomes easier once plants are established (annual removal of non-native species increases the life of the planting).

We blend our seed mixes for each project and need some lead time to make sure we have enough fresh seed.   Most our seed collection is done in late summer and fall.  Most seed mixes can be sown in the fall for spring germination.  Contact us for a custom seed mix to suit your site.
